Young students had the opportunity to participate in the divisional Folk Dance Festival this week. This event took place over two days with over 1,500 Grade 1-3 students performing dance routines they learned.

Happy Manitoba Day! The Manitoba Act, which created the Province of Manitoba, was given royal assent on May 12, 1870. Then, on May 12, 1966, Manitoba’s official flag was dedicated and raised for the first time. In 1986, May 12 was designated as #ManitobaDay.

Thanks to Woodbine Burgers and the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation – and everyone who purchased a Charity Burger at Woodbine - Angus McKay student Thomas Cayer received an adaptive bike, enabling him to stay active and enjoy time with his family in the sunshine. To make bike presentation day even more special, his entire class came out to mark the milestone, present him with a handmade card to commemorate the day, and have lunch with him. The students had a great time celebrating Thomas, playing games, and enjoying their smash burgers. 🍔 #InclusiveEducation
