The Manitoba Government has proclaimed May as Music Month to celebrate the creativity of student musicians and the beauty, knowledge, and truth as taught by music educators. Music programming in RETSD supports the development of creativity that spills into everyday life.

Transcona Collegiate students competed in a global competition to come up with solutions for mobility challenges during natural disasters. Hannah Fernandez, Brandon Sherby, Emma Provido, and Daniel Ajuwon won their jurisdiction – Americas – and are waiting to hear if they won the finals against Hong Kong, Japan, and Greece.
