Today in Bunn’s Creek Park, 50 RETSD teachers learned about integrating the outdoors into learning experiences, blending traditional academics with environmental awareness and hands-on exploration of the natural world. This learning will be brought back to students in their classrooms. Sessions included an Indigenous water ceremony, outdoor design projects, numeracy in nature, learning about trees, and creating “sit spots” in nature to practice mindfulness and reflection.
