Manitoba Time Change
On November 1 Manitoba will not switch back to standard time and will remain on permanent daylight savings time (UTC‑5) year‑round.
Although the time change itself is straightforward, computers and other applications use time-zone information behind the scenes. The change may affect calendars, meetings, and other systems that depend on date and time information. The impact will vary depending on how each operating system handles time zones.
What you need to consider on November 1
Review upcoming events: Check appointments and meetings scheduled for Nov. 1, 2026, or later. Confirm that the start and end times are correct for everyone invited.
Correct affected meetings: Open the event, select the time block and use the globe icon to display the time-zone settings. Choose (UTC−05:00) Manitoba. Only the meeting organizer can update an event that includes attendees.
Check recurring meetings carefully: Changing the time zone for a recurring series resets exceptions, such as an individual occurrence moved to a different time. Re-create those exceptions after updating the series.
