If your child is five years old on or before December 31, they're eligible to be registered for kindergarten for the 2026–27 school year.
When registering your child for school in RETSD, you'll need to provide proof-of-age documentation for your child, such as a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, Manitoba Health Card, INAC status card, or birth registration signed by the director of Vital Statistics. You'll also need to bring two types of identification that show proof of residency, such as your driver’s licence, tenancy agreement, offer to purchase documents, or a utility bill.
