Connections Forged at the Annual RETSD Career Fair

On Thursday, April 23, RETSD held its annual Career Fair — an opportunity for the division and students to connect with a larger community of employers and educational institutions.

Hundreds of people attended the fair, many of them students who brought along family and caregivers. Attendees visited with exhibitors from over 80 organizations, such as the University of Manitoba, Red River College Polytechnic, MC College, the Governments of Canada and Manitoba, CN Rail, Manitoba Hydro, Dynacare, and Canad Inns to name only a few.

Students who attended may have new options to consider for their futures — all because of one simple conversation with an exhibitor! We’re grateful to our community partners for opening doors and possibilities.

The Royal Bank of Canada also conducted mock interviews to help students gain valuable experience, along with feedback, that will help them both immediately with part-time work, but also to build skills that will help them throughout their careers.
