Visual Arts

The Visual Arts program at River East Collegiate provides students with an in-depth education and a recognized set of skills within a stimulating studio environment thus preparing interested students to proceed into post high school studies in fine art, interior design, architecture, graphic design and commercial art.

The program encourages students to develop technical proficiency, creativity and innovation. The study, exposure to and practice of medium exploration, art history, journal-keeping, art appreciation, and art production form the course of all three levels of study. Students new to the program will be required to purchase an art kit (available at cost through the school) plus pay a minimal art fee charged to all students in the program.
