Run For The Cure

River East Collegiate has always encouraged our students and staff to support worthwhile causes within our community. This fall we will enter a Kodiak team in the CIBC Run for the Cure, which supports the advancement of breast cancer research, education, diagnosis, and treatment. REC has participated in the run for over a number of years. To date, our teams have raised approximately $86 500 in total through donations members collected. In twelve of the years REC has participated, we were honoured with the School Challenge Award after raising more money than any other school in our run area.

Registering for the Run is simple and can be done online at www.cbcf.org. Organizational meeting takes place the first week back to school in September.
