OUR LIBRARY
Our Library
Welcome to our Library Learning Commons! In our library the focus is on comprehensive literacy-for life and learning. To thrive in an information-rich digital society, our students need a variety of lifelong learning skills in order to effectively process and use information. In our LLC, students learn to collaborate, think critically, communicate and be creative! Our growing Makerspace provides students with opportunities to work together to solve problems, invent, build and play.

Lunch Hour Programming
Our Library Program
Each class visits the Library at least once/cycle for a Book Exchange with their teacher and Mrs. Heinrichs. Students enjoy a story and then browse for books to take home.
Each classroom will work with Mrs. Dyck, our teacher librarian, once or twice during the school year. Mrs. Dyck collaborates with classroom teachers in planning and conducting inquiry-based research activities and design projects. IBL activities consist of the promotion and development of the "6 C's" of 21st Century Learning -Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, Citizenship and Character Education and lifelong learning skills. Learning activities integrate curriculum, literature, information literacy, the arts and technology. Library programming draws upon the natural curiosity of children and fosters a love of learning.
