Q4 Report Cards

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are writing to inform you of an unexpected delay in the electronic distribution of Senior Years report cards, which were scheduled to be published today, June 26^th.

Earlier this week, the PowerSchool Document Delivery system, used to post report cards to the Parent Portal and send notification emails to families, was successfully used for Early Years and Middle Years report cards. Unfortunately, a system update implemented by PowerSchool overnight has resulted in a malfunction affecting Canadian school divisions across the country, including River East Transcona School Division.

As a result of this issue, Senior Years report cards cannot currently be delivered electronically or stored within the Parent Portal as planned.

PowerSchool is aware of the problem and is actively working to resolve it. Based on our discussions with the company, we are hopeful that the issue will be corrected by Tuesday, June 30^th. Once the system is restored and report cards become available, parents/guardians will receive notification through the usual channels.

We recognize that this delay is frustrating and not what anyone, either RETSD or our Student Information System provider, anticipated. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as the issue is resolved.

If you require a hard copy of your child's report card before the anticipated fix on Tuesday, please contact the school office. School clerical staff will be able to print a copy for you.
