Technology Education /Applied Arts
Technology Education/Applied Arts at Robert Andrews provides students with a venue to develop and practice various essential skills for daily living. The Applied Arts labs offer an area unique in educational settings to foster creativity and growth throughout the students’ lives.
Applied Arts is compulsory for all students. The allotted class time is split evenly with Industrial Arts and Home Economics.
The different grades will develop and progress their skills in the following areas:
Industrial Arts - Manufacturing/Woods
- Safety
- Problem Solving
- Hand Tools
- Machine work
- Project Design
- Construction according to specific instructions
- Computer aided manufacturing and design
- Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Cutters
- Individual and Group work
