Industrial Arts/Home Economics

Industrial arts and home economics programs provide the students with hands on, life long learning skills needed in our ever-changing society and world. Each course offers many design, problem solving, and co-operative education opportunities in a safe and meaningful environment. These courses provide a supportive environment for cross curricular learning connections to be made with math, science, social studies and language arts.

Our middle years course offerings are: metal working, power and energy, foods and nutrition, textile, electronics and manufacturing. Both in-house and off-campus programs are offered to our grade 6, 7 and 8 students.
