Community Service SIP41G - Grade 12

Adult Learners can obtain a Grade 12 credit by volunteering for worthwhile causes or organisations with the community. The credit provides learners with the opportunity to receive recognition for the civic skills, knowledge and attitudes which can be gained through volunteering.

The volunteer activity must be for a "not-for-profit" organisations which exists to help the community, groups, individuals or animals, through organisations such as the Humane Society, Lighthouse, Mission, Winnipeg Harvest, etc. The credit involves 110 hours of documented volunteering.
