Chemistry 40S - Grade 12

Chemistry studies matter - what makes up everything around us and within. It is a required credit for entry to post-secondary studies in medical, scientific and technical fields. Hand-on laboratory activities are included in this course. This course continues you Chemistry journey.

• Structure of Atoms
• Aqueous reactions (reactions occurring in water solution)
• Kinetics (rates of various reactions and how they are measured and influenced)
• Equilibrium (reactions that can go in reverse)
• Acids and bases
• Oxidation and reduction reactions including electrochemistry
• Corrosion

Prerequisite:  Chemistry 30S or equivalent assessment.
