Pre-calculus Mathematics 40S - Grade 12

Applied or Pre-Calculus Math credits are required for many scientific and technical disciplines in Post -Secondary centres.

This course builds on the topics studied in Pre-Calculus 30S and also includes

• Polynomial, radical and rational functions
• Transformations and operations
• Exponential and logarithmic functions
• Trigonometry I
  • Degrees, radians, unit circle
  • Trigonometric functions
• Trigonometry II
  • Equations
  • Identities
• Permutations, combinations and the binomial theorem

Prerequisite:  Pre-calculus Mathematics 30S or demonstration of knowledge of Pre-calculus Mathematics 30S.
