Physical Education

Physical education includes health, the Outdoor Pursuits program and classes in the gym. Phys-ed teachers teach physical education and outdoor pursuits; classroom teachers teach health.

We are concerned with the physical as well as the mental well-being of all our students; therefore, participation and attendance are compulsory. Students who are unable to take part in physical education for medical reasons must have a parent's note or doctor's certificate that states the reasons for the student’s non-participation. Proper attire (running shoes, shorts, etc.) is required. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for their Outdoor Pursuits class as they may be spending up to two consecutive hours outside. To find out when your child has Outdoor Pursuits, please check the schedule in the documents section under Athletics.

Note: Money, jewelry and other valuables should never be left in the change rooms. Leave valuables at home.
