ÉSHS Kindergarten Registration March 1, 2023 @ 8:00 a.m.

ÉSHS Student Registration!! 

Registration for the 2023-2024 school year begins Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.

Kindergarten registration is open for all children born in 2018. This means that your child must have had their 5th birthday on or before December 31st, 2023. 

Please share this information with any neighbours or friends who have children ready for kindergarten.

Registration forms can be filled in online and submitted via email to shs@retsd.mb.ca starting March 1, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. When registering by email, email both the completed registration forms and copies of the ID documentation listed below. Parents/guardians are asked to come to the school office between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 by the end of March with original ID documentation to be verified. At that time, the parents/guardians will be asked to provide an ink signature on the emailed registration forms to finalize the child’s enrolment. 

Parents/Guardians can also register in person at the school starting March 1, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. 

Paper copies will be available for pick up at the school starting February 13, 2023.

Fillable registration forms are available on our website under the documents and forms section, these forms are also printable if you prefer. 

Registration Required Documentation: 

This information is very important and must be presented to complete your child’s registration. 

Proof of Address: (2 items are required) 

• Driver’s License
• Manitoba Health Card 
• Tenancy agreement (duly signed)
• Offer to purchase documents (completed with signatures)
• Utility bill (name and corresponding address)

Proof of age: (1 item is required) 

• Birth Certificate 
• Baptismal Certificate 
• Passport
• Manitoba Health Card
• Valid Treaty Card 
• Certificate of Birth registration, signed by Director of Vital Statistics (form from the hospital at time of child’s birth)

School of Choice 

Parents/Guardians do have the ability to make a request that their child attend a different school from the one designated by their home address by the school division. School of Choice requests for students living within the River East Transcona School Division will be accepted starting March 1st, 2023, but notification of acceptance will not be available until the end of June 2023.  (Policy JBFA) 

Parents must complete the School of Choice form along with the registration at their catchment school.
