Assessments

Our focus is on integrating teaching, learning, and assessment processes in the classroom, so our students can achieve the learning outcomes identified in the Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning curriculum.

Ongoing assessment is necessary for our teachers to gauge what students have learned and what they still need to learn. This academic assessment information can then be used to plan learning experiences that address class learning profiles and to support individual learning needs.

Evaluation of the assessment results is shared with students and reported to parents.

REPORTING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning has developed common provincial report cards for Grades 1–12. The provincial report card is in use in all RETSD schools. The division has developed a kindergarten report card that parallels the provincial Grades 1–6 report card.
