Tri-School Campus Initiative

Good things happen when people come together. The Tri-School Campus Initiative is a committed group of community members along with students, staff and administration who have joined forces to revitalize the school’s community recreational space. The location of the project is the green space of Radisson Elementary, John W. Gunn Middle School and Transcona Collegiate. The land is in the heart of Transcona and in an area that considers itself “Park City”.

The Tri-School Campus Initiative will provide quality recreational spaces for our community members and schools. Revitalizing our green space is essential to meet the evolving needs of our area residents and students who represent all ages and abilities.

In order for this to become a reality, partnerships have become key. River East Transcona School Division is the first partner with an investment in the property. Parent councils have raised and contributed a substantial amount of money. A committee has been established and spent countless hours meeting, working on plans, meeting with potential funders and seeking grants on funding.  More partners are needed to make this plan a reality.

We are inviting you to become a key partner and make a donation towards our project that serves both the community and schools. When you provide substantial support, you will be recognized on the Wall of Honor located inside the three schools and on the outside wall of one of the schools. Categories are listed on the attachment.

If you would like to support the Tri-School Campus Initiative, you can make a gift to us in care of River East Transcona School Division. Cheques or money orders are payable to The River East Transcona Trust Fund – Tri-School Campus Initiative. We would welcome an opportunity to meet with you in person to discuss the project.

Any questions may be forwarded to Sandy Dzuba (958-6500), chair, Tri-School Campus Initiative.
