ABOUT US

At Joseph Teres our aim is to provide a safe learning environment that maximizes the academic, physical, social and emotional experiences of all students so that they develop into independent, contributing members of society. Joseph Teres opened its doors in 1988 and currently provides a Kindergarten to Grade five program. JT was once home to the Ukrainian Program and originally included grade six. The school has a very open and bright concept with a three tiered, sunk in Meeting Area at the center of the building with a huge skylight two stories overhead. This open space serves as the place for weekly assemblies, special presentations and a place for younger and older students to enjoy reading to one another. Joseph Teres has a Reading Recovery facility upstairs and is also home to the RETSD French nursery program, Storybook Daycare and Literacy Links.
