Scholastic Book Fair

Dear Parents and Families:

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school. It is a Fundraiser for our school library. It helps us purchase items that may not be covered by the school budget. 

Tax is included in the price. The average price of a book is around $11.00. Book prices may be slightly more than in a store because the Book Fair is a fundraiser.  For example, if you purchase a book for $10.00, the Library benefits from a portion of this amount. In the past we have used funds to purchase games, Lego and taken students to the Manitoba Theatre for Young People. 

Here is what you need to know about the Book Fair…it will take place from Monday, November 18, 2024 – Thursday, November 21, 2024. We will be open during school hours for students to visit. Please put your child’s money in an envelope or baggie with their first and last name on it. The Book Fair also has pens, pencils, erasers, posters and other items for sale. If you only want your child to purchase books, please send a note or write that information on the envelope.  Also…if you are sending money with your child…please remind them that the money is for their own purchases only and is not to be shared with others. 

We are open to families on Thursday November 21, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Hope to see you in the Library.
