Preschool/Before & After

At Emerson, we believe in partnering with the community and our families to support student success, beginning at birth and continuing throughout the pre-school and school years. Emerson is a divisional home base for the RETSD Literacy Links free pre-school programs, which support the development of literacy, numeracy and school-community connections.

Emerson partners with the River East Scholar’s Nursery, a licensed pre-school program offering half day educational programs for three and four year olds.  The nursery also provides Kindercare for 10 kindergarten children over lunch and in the afternoon.  For more information please call (204) 663-6365 

For before-and-after school care, we have Little Learners, a program organized and operated by a parent board. It operates from 7 a.m.– 9:15 a.m. & 4 – 6 p.m.  For more information, please call Charlene at (204) 654-3655.
