Volunteering in the School
Parents/guardians, grandparents and community members participate yearly in our Volunteer Program. Their contribution, both at school and at home, helps the school to function at its optimal level by reading with the children, sharing special talents, supervising outings, baking, making learning kits and games. Our volunteers participate in Orientation sessions to familiarize themselves with the school, with students, procedures and expectations. All volunteers are required to fill out a Child Abuse Registry Application, sign in at the office and wear a volunteer identification badge to assist staff and students in identifying visitors to the school.
Our school is strong and vibrant thanks to the numerous volunteers. Many of the accomplishments in our school would be impossible without the help of our volunteers. Parents/guardians are invited to become active with École Centrale’s Volunteer Program. École Centrale has a Parent Volunteer Coordinator. Please contact him/her if you are interested in becoming part of this program.
Parents/guardians may also contact the school secretary or their child’s homeroom teacher if they would like to assist in any way. Your support and participation are most welcome and appreciated. Please note that all regular volunteers are required to fill out a Child Abuse Registry Check Application (which is good for 3 years once approved).
Make sure you check the Parent Association Page to learn about the many ways you can help.
