Band

Goal: The goal of the band program is the development of each student’s musicianship by striving to gain abilities in performing, listening, creating, and valuing music. Through participation in band, students experience responsibility and achievement as an important member of this group endeavour.

Classes: Grade 6, 7 & 8 classes meet three times per cycle.  Additionally, we have a jazz band comprised of all grades.  Students are selected for jazz band by showing interest and having several years of experience with their instrument.

Concerts: Class bands present concerts for family and friends in December and May. Additional performances at festivals, school and community events will be announced as they arise.
