Code of Behaviour

The River East Transcona School Division has adopted a Divisional Code of Conduct consistent with the Safe Schools Charter. Its purpose is to promote a healthy school culture where high levels of achievement occur within a positive school environment. Each student has been provided with a copy of the divisional Code.

At Chief Peguis we focus on respect for self, for others and for the community. Students are expected to be familiar with the behavioural expectations of our code of conduct and to demonstrate them appropriately in all situations. Behavioural expectations are outlined in the Actions for Positive Behaviour (APB) Handbook which each student has received. These behaviours will be taught and reviewed by teachers throughout the year.

Students are expected to:

Attend regularly and be on time.
Be prepared and committed to work.
Show respect for self and others.
Be respectful of school and community property.
Use appropriate language and behaviour.
Be honest.
Treat others in a safe and courteous manner.

8:40 to 8:47 a.m. - Homeroom attendance check
8:47 to 9:43 a.m. - Period 1
9:43 to 10:36 a.m. - Period 2
10:36 to 11:29 a.m. - Period 3
11:29 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. - LUNCH
12:21 to 1:18 p.m. - Period 4
1:18 to 2:10 p.m. - Period 5
2:10 to 3:02 p.m. - Period 6
3:02 p.m. - DISMISSAL
