Apprenticeship

HSAP%20Header.JPG

The High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP) is a program that allows students the opportunity to start an apprenticeship in the skilled trades prior to graduating. This program is perfect for students who are currently working in the skilled trades, are interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades, have family members in the skilled trades, or are looking to gain some elective credits.

Participating students receive a Grade 12 or 40S credit for every 110 hours of work (up to 8 credits), a paid level of post-secondary tuition for every 220 hours they work, and hours toward certification in that trade. Each of our high schools currently has high school apprentices who are earning credits, tuition incentives, and hours towards their trade.

For more information about the HSAP, visit the links on the left-hand side of the page.

To find out which trades qualify for the HSAP or to ask any other questions about the program, please contact the divisional apprenticeship support teacher at apprenticeship@retsd.mb.ca
