The benefit of extra-curricular programs is that students
are encouraged to become involved in positive ways which contribute to their
physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Students involved in
extra-curricular programs are expected to:
- keep up in their regular work.
- make schedules and post them prominently at home so parents/guardians will
know where they are and when.
- represent themselves and Salisbury Morse Place School in the best way
possible.
The extra-curricular program consists of four major areas:
Interschool athletics
School teams compete against other RETSD school teams. Salisbury Morse Place
School teams include: cross country running, volleyball, basketball, badminton, track
and field
Intramurals
Intramural athletics are run during lunch hour between 12:10 p.m. and 12:40
p.m. Intramurals are open to all students on a scheduled basis.
School clubs
A number of activities are operated by teachers for students with interest in
specific areas. Examples include: Builders Club, musical theatre, STEAM, reading, knitting,
scrapbooking, athletic leadership, math, art, drawing, choir, guitar, and GSA.
Student Leadership
Council
Student Leadership council consists of student representatives who have
successfully completed an application process. Student council sponsors
functions including dances. All functions are fully supervised by the staff. All
school rules apply. The kinds of activities offered can vary from year to year.
Information about extra-curricular activities will be given during a.m.
announcements and the daily bulletin. Stay tuned and get involved.
