Corrina Avila and Calia Pacle (grade 12 Pastry Arts students) were recognized on April 24th at the Legislative Building. Both girls were presented with a framed print of the speech that was read out in the house and were applauded for their contribution to the Skills Manitoba Baking Competition, as well as their positive involvement over the years learning a skilled trade at KEC.
It was a great afternoon, and both girls were proud to have been asked to attend , as well was I as their teacher. Another great moment to highlight our KEC students. Calia won skills Manitoba receiving a Gold Medal, and will be representing our province next month in Halifax in the Canadian Skills Competition for Secondary Baking.
Way to go girls!!!
