Kildonan-East Collegiate students from a variety of programs got to show off their talents at the annual KEC "mock wedding" on May 23.
The wedding took place at The Forks and the reception was held at KEC. The bride and groom are drama students and their drama classmates also portrayed roles such as the bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents and guests.
Students participated from programs such as dramatic arts (roles of the bridal party and guests) pastry arts (cake), photography (wedding photos), art (reception decoration), graphic arts (invitation design), music (instrumentals and solos), Interactive Digital Media (360 and CoSpaces), Career and Life Exploration class budgeted for a wedding from a fantasy wedding to a wedding on a limited budget and autobody provided a classic vehicle for the photo prop. It's quite an undertaking and a great way to show off all the diverse skills being learned by KEC students.
