Thank you to Erica Hoiss from Kids Code Jeunesse who came to École Centrale on Monday, March 11th to teach coding to our Grade 3 and Grade 4 students. Students worked on coding a Micro:Bit (a small microchip) to display a message, create an animation, send a transmission of a message, roll a dice, and create a song. Students were engaged at learning bloc coding and understanding such features as looping, randomization and repeating codes. While creating their codes, students had to problem solve using critical thinking when their code was flawed. Teachers can now continue this learning in the classroom with the 30 FREE Micro:Bits that we received from Kids Code Jeunesse! What a great day of learning!
