It is time for The Gardening club to begin!
Dr. Hamilton School offers its students the opportunity to participate in The Gardening Club during lunch recesses. The students are so enthusiastic and learn so many great life skills at The Gardening Club. Preparing the beds and pots, planning, weeding, sharing, maintaining the plants and of course everyone's favourite….planting flowers are just a few things we do.
Any funds needed for this have been paid by the PAC but Dr. Hamilton School has notoriously hard soil and we break A LOT of little gardening shovels so we could always use donations of new or gently used gardening shovels.
In order to provide our students with this great opportunity we need some parent/grandparent Volunteers. It is only 30 minutes during lunch recess. If you are not available during the day, we also need volunteers to help keep our gardens watered and weed free in the evenings and throughout the summer. Any time that you can spare is greatly appreciated.
For information on dates and times or if you would like to donate gardening shovels, please contact Lindsay Brzuskiewicz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
