Literacy Links facilitators at Joseph Teres School.
Registration is now underway for Literacy Links Visits as part of our FREE Countdown to Kindergarten programming.
Led by enthusiastic Countdown to Kindergarten facilitators, children are sure to enjoy play-based activities, stories, and art experiences to enhance their skills and understanding of the concepts of print, rhyming, sound recognition, and early math.
These visits also provide young participants the opportunity to practise fine motor skills, like using scissors and printing the letters in their name. Interesting take-home activities will be provided at the end of each session to continue the fun after each visit.
The Literacy Links Visits program consists of three visits that last approximately 45 minutes. These sessions are offered in a small group setting with group sizes ranging from one to four children. Requests for one-on-one appointments and outdoor appointments will be accommodated whenever possible.
Literacy Links Visits takes place at Joseph Teres School, 131 Sanford Fleming Rd. Parents/caregivers are required to stay onsite to play, learn, and support their child(ren).
