​As part of our Science for Kids! Series, we're offering MECHANICAL ENGINEERING workshops held by Engineering for Kids Winnipeg for two different age groups: ages 4–7 and ages 8–12. 

TUES., MAY 14, 2019
Pulleys (ages 4–7) 6–7 p.m. $20/child
Learn about the properties of simple pulleys. Then put your knowledge to work as you construct and operate a pulley delivery system for use in a simulated disaster situation.

Catapult (ages 8–12) 7:30–8:30 p.m. $30/child 
Learn why catapults were created and how they work. You'll build your own simple catapult using a spoon to power candy projectiles. Then learn how to improve your catapult's precision by measuring and graphing your results and converting them into useful information.
