 Manitoba Element 1 - Policy
A formal policy statement outlining the employer’s commitment to a safe and healthy workplace sends a clear message that safety is a priority and is expected. The policy should be dated and signed by a top executive or owner. 


Posting the commitment in a place where all workers can see it will instill the importance of safety and health in your workplace. 

Posted on worksite safety and health bulletin boards.


Incorporate psychological safety into your existing health and safety policy. Or, you may choose to have a separate policy statement that speaks to the importance of having a psychologically safe and healthy workplace.

RETSD has developed a comprehensive workplace safety management system. The program is intended to protect the safety and health of all workers and stakeholders that attend or use our facilities.
