Indigenous Use of Bison

Bernie Wolfe Community School
January 31, 2020

Bison 2.jpgStudents in Ms. Bobychuk's class at Bernie Wolfe Community School learned all about the importance of the bison to the Cree, Oji-Cree, Ojibwa, Anishinaabe, and Dene people living in the Plains. They had a hands-on experience as they looked at the parts of a bison, and tried to figure out what each part was and how it was used. These came from a bison ranch in South Dakota.
