Kildonan-East Collegiate students from a variety of programs got to show off their talents at the school's annual "mock wedding" on June 3. The ceremony took place at the Manitoba Legislative Building and the reception was held at KEC.
Performing Arts students portrayed the roles of bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, and guests. This year, they added a dramatic twist by having a guest try to stop the ceremony—so much excitement!
There were also participants from: Pastry Arts (cake), Photography (photos), Graphic Design (invitation design), Art (reception decoration), Music (ceremony music), and Dance (traditional wedding dances). Even the library set up a display with wedding-themed books.
It's quite an undertaking each year and a great way to show off the diverse skills being learned by KEC students.
