Therapy Dogs Spread Cheer

River East Collegiate
May 07, 2019

Therapy Dogs 5a.jpgIntroducing Rosie and Bear! These furry friends are spending some time at River East Collegiate for Mental Health Week, acting as therapy dogs. The students have been really enjoying their presence!

Some of you may be familiar with Rosie (the boxer)—she's a certified St. John Ambulance therapy dog and spends time at a few of our schools helping with the Reading Tutor Program. She also works at the airport and is a member of Manitoba Animal Actors.

The fluffy little sweetheart is Bear (a husky cross), who is six months old and being fostered by Rosie's mom, Jackie Martin. She'll be up for adoption soon at Manitoba Underdogs Rescue.
