Recently, Joseph Teres School held a Boscars (Oscars for books) ceremony, and many of the students and staff dressed up for the occasion. There was great music, cheering from students for the nominees and winning books, jokes from the host, acceptance speeches from students, and drum rolls for suspense before announcing the winners. All followed by paparazzi photos on the red carpet. One of the most popular winners was "The Book with No Pictures" by B.J. Novak, which won for Schoolwide Funniest Book. Such a creative and fun way to celebrate books and reading—well done, Joseph Teres!
