The weather has been pretty challenging the past week or two. CBC meteorologist John Sauder may sometimes take the blame for it, but he's only the messenger! And that messenger paid a visit to a class at Bernie Wolfe Community School on February 5.
It was perfect timing for the visit, because the class has been learning about weather systems, climate, and weather phenomena. John Sauder and the class discussed the polar vortex and how it worked, climate change at the North Pole, how satellites and radar work, how the ground is heated, and how low pressure attracts high pressure systems. The class also gained a better understanding the different types of clouds and how to predict the weather. (Photo by Norbert K. Iwan)
