Our students generally enroll to take credits for one of three reasons:
Manitoba mature student diploma
If you have never completed high school, you are not alone—25 per cent of Manitobans have never graduated. Study with other adults in an adult-focused setting through our program. The mature student diploma is for adults age 19-plus—a fast-track, eight-credit, fully-recognized high school diploma, featuring regular high school credits, including Senior 4 (Grade 12) English and mathematics plus 2 optional credits. If you have high school marks from before, you may be eligible for advanced credits. You may also be eligible to receive credit for previous out-of-school learning.
Regular high school completion
If you are age 19-plus and within a few credits of achieving your regular 30-credit diploma, get the credits you need to graduate through evening or day study.
Post-diploma academic upgrading
Your career goals may have changed since you graduated. Prepare for career advancement or post-secondary study through day or evening courses with either McLeod or Transcona adult learning centres. All Manitoba high school graduates are eligible to take up to four extra credit courses on a tuition-exempt basis.
